About CATO Intermediates
CATO Intermediates is the pharmaceutical-intermediate product line of CATO Research Chemicals Inc., a National High-Tech Enterprise based in Guangzhou, China.
What we do
We supply building blocks, advanced intermediates, impurity standards and reference materials to pharmaceutical, biotech and agrochemical companies worldwide. The catalogue published on this site covers more than 713,000 compounds with CAS registry numbers, indexed so that a chemist can move from a CAS number to a specification page in one step.
Beyond catalogue items we run custom synthesis projects in our own laboratories: route scouting and feasibility assessment, impurity isolation and structure elucidation, and scale-up from gram to kilogram quantities under a controlled quality system.
Quality
CATO operates an ISO 9001 quality management system and is an ISO 17034 accredited producer of reference materials — a dual certification held by few suppliers in the reference-standard market. Every intermediate lot is released against a batch-specific certificate of analysis, with HPLC or GC chromatograms, residual solvent data and, where relevant, chiral purity by chiral HPLC.
